Maternity allowance - the form is 22 pages !

Bit of a shock to see the maternity allowance form

=22 pages long

Zzzz

Anyone claimed it recently? how long til you heard back?

I claimed in July, it only took about half an hour to fill the form it. It covers all the different ways you could be paid separately so I think there were only about 8 pages to actually fill in.
I requested maternity allowance from the earliest date as I was unemployed and had no income. I think I got my first payment 2 weeks after I sent off the form and heard back a week after something like that anyway. It was really quick I was pleasantly surprised!
