Hi there. I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant and having some pain on my left side. I’ve been on and off constipated throughout this pregnancy. I’ve gone to the GP as I’m worried it’s not pregnancy related and something more sinister. She has said they can run a stool sample to check for blood but it may come back positive if I have piles etc (which I have one although it doesn’t really bleed) and this will then mean I get referred for all sorts of urgent tests which she’s concerned will worry me more which is true I suppose.

guess I’m just wondering if people have had dark poo. It’s not black at all and sometimes is not darker and more light brown. She said it’s very common but can’t help but worry.

Sounds common, especially if you're taking vitamins. Perhaps eat a cereal high in fibre like All Bran to soften your stool.
