Hiya I’m 27 weeks pregnant and have had on and off acid reflux since 7 weeks. I do have omperazole and take these on and off. I’m still throwing up acid reflux now and then plus having big nose bleeds 2-3 times per week since around 17 weeks. It’s my third baby and never had any of this before.

the doc did say at 7 weeks I would prob get reflux a lot as I got it so early on. Just constantly need to burp and sit up straight. Even starting to feel breathless now but not sure if that’s related. I want to avoid taking medication too much as I have been on it for weeks at the beginning.

has anyone else had the same and when did it end 😫

I'm 26 weeks and the same!! I find I have to take the Omeprazole every day or it gets really bad unfortunately so I try not to miss a dose now. I can still feel the acid there especially when lying down but it's so much better than it was. But I do also have that constant burp thing that is sooo annoying 😫 it always happens straight after eating and can go on for hours! Not sure what can be done about that really, going for a walk helps me sometimes x

aww it’s so hard isn’t it. They do say omeprazole is safe in pregnancy so I suppose il have to keep taking them x

Yeh it's perfectly safe. You have to weigh up quality of life really, I was trying not to have it often too but I've found it seems to have a build up effect, if you miss a dose here and there it's like starting again with it! I hate taking medication too, I'm still on anti sickness for HG and I've been on so many antibiotics this pregnancy for urine infections 😫 so I do feel bad but it's always looking at the risk benefit really isn't it I guess x
