Pregnant after miscarriage?

has anyone fallen pregnant after an early miscarriage? How did they date the new pregnancy? We were told to wait until I get my first period. However we did the deed the past few days but it’s very clear I’m ovulating already now. Currently stressing

It happens to plenty of people. I’ve read loads of stories on here. While it’s not ideal for early dating reasons, if you know when you ovulated at least you’ll have a rough idea so can tell them. Worst case, if you can’t seem to speak to an actual human about it and can only fill in forms, just add two weeks into your ovulation date as your “last period” date.

Hello I was in the position earlier this year, we didn't wait either.
I had a miscarriage Dec 2024, I got a negative pregnancy test on the 2nd Jan and by mid Feb I still hadn't had my period and I was starting to feel nauseous.
I did a pregnancy test and got a decent positive and did a dates test the next day. I got a 3+ so phoned the epu. They got me in the have a HCG test to determine when would be a good time to get me in for an early scan and it was over 100,000! They scanned me the next day and I was 8+3.
I saw my midwife after this and she used this date to give me a fake lmp for my dating scan. She said had i hadn't had the early scan they would have used the date I started bleeding with my miscarriage and you are still in the 11-14 week window for the dating scan and trisomy screening. All went well in this pregnancy and he is now 12 weeks old. Based on his due date I conceived at the beginning of January.
