You probably need to go back and ask for clarification. That looks like it’s talking about total maternity pay rates (as it says it’s inclusive of statutory pay) but then says zero beyond 8 weeks.

It also says it’s going to pay you monthly and the figures will fluctuate, but gives them as a weekly figure.

Looks like they will top up your pay for the first 8 weeks (occupational maternity pay) and then it will just be statutory pay for the rest. Clarify with payroll though

Hi does anyone know
if I will continue to be able to claim 30 free hours for my nearly 4 year old who’s in a school nursery, as I get maternity allowance not SMP

I changed jobs when I was already pregnant quite a few years ago and ended up with only maternity allowance, I went off on mat leave the end of feb and my 3 year old only had 1 more term (summer) left in nursery after the term we were in, because you get a grace period where you don't meet the requirements but they don't stop your free hours immediately my son didn't have to be pulled/we didnt have to pay for the extra 15 hours. If you go on mat leave earlier in the school year you probably will drop down to 15 hours after your grace period is ended. The rules may have changed in this time, but look up grace period and 30 hours free childcare.
