Hi, I'm currently 9 weeks and saw a healthy embryo and yolk sac with a heartbeat at week 6.

I had a private scan today, and he said there was nothing in the sac, yet I've been having normal symptoms and no bleeding over the past two weeks. He only did a tummy scan.

Has anyone else been through this?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@Atmo maybe it’s too early for an ultrasound and you need an internal. That’s what I had at 9 weeks.
hoping everything works out for you xx

Yes I have.

Are you due to have an NHS scan soon? 12/13 weeks? Or is there an EPAU near you that you can self refer to?

Hi,

I rang the early pregnancy unit, and they have me in for a scan tomorrow morning.

Did you have an internal scan after the private? Was it all okay?

Sorry to hear this OP. At 9 weeks you should be able to see the fetus from an abdominal view. It could be that the private scanner wasn’t good at scanning.
I hope all is ok tomorrow but I’d go expecting the worst and hoping for the best

I really hope today’s scan shows you good news. For what it’s worth, I’ve heard of lots of inaccurate private scans causing unnecessary worry. I really hope this is the case for you. It’s great you’re getting seen so soon
