Currently 35 weeks pregnant and woke up early this morning feeling quite sick but no throwing up and this accompanied with diarrhoea this morning. The past week I’ve had such a sore pain in the upper right of my stomach and it’s so painful today.
many advice

Go and get checked out.

U0KHun · 29/11/2025 13:22

Phone the maternity unit!!

Is it a bug you caught? Like is anyone else in your household had these symptoms too in the last week?

No one has experienced any bugs or illnesses in months in my house! I’ve felt so off all day, headaches, pain in right side of stomach, feeling nauseous the lot! My partner has taken our other little one most of the day so I can sleep but no change

You need to be seen and the baby needs to be checked. Better safe than sorry.

Alwayscoffeefirst · 29/11/2025 19:50

I would go and get it checked out at triage. Just to rule out pre-eclampsia as upper right abdominal pain and nausea are symptoms.

DeliciouslyBaked · 29/11/2025 19:53

Please ring maternity triage. Headaches and pain under the ribs is classic preeclampsia (ask me how I know...) Even if it does just end up being a bug, at least they can make sure there is nothing else going on.

I'm that case yeah maybe call the maternity unit for advice.....
I has this a couple of weeks ago but others in my house has the same so I knew it was that.
Poor you, I'm sure the last thing you fancy feeling like that is to go in. But yes agree better safe than sorry...

I’ve seen two midwives this week and both times I’ve stated how bad I’ve been feeling! They tested my urine and there was protein and she said oh your blood pressure is 139/something I can’t remember but because it didn’t hit 140 i should be fine

Yeah, I'd be on the phone to the hospital / maternity unit in your shoes. Especially with that info.

Blessedandthankful · 29/11/2025 21:07

Yes in your shoes with that update I would definitely go in!

jmrpinkie · 29/11/2025 22:31

If you’ve been seen this week I know you’ll be reluctant to go and get checked out. And especially this late on the weekend. But hopefully that’s all it will be , a check and you’ll be home and in bed before you know it. But definitely get checked out.

It’s so frustrating because I know I’m my head I don’t feel right especially when I didn’t feel anything like this with my 1st! But I feel like I keep getting dismissed and now feel almost a little embarrassed going in and almost pleading with them for something that it might not be

You can do this! Better to be embaressed than living with regret....

I know what you mean lovely. But do not be one bit embarrassed. And you can be really honest about those worries with them at the end if you want. I’m pregnant with number 2 and for me nothing is the same !!
