Line came up straight away I’m 8dpo been ttc for a long time now it’s the first month I actually didn’t expect it to happen what’s peoples thoughts on this? Has anyone experienced false positives on these as I’ve also done a clear blue which has come back negative. The line is pinker in person

Deffo positive. Clear blue requires higher levels of hcg to get a positive. So because your early it might not show up on them yet.

Tinytyson · 28/11/2025 20:18

These are the other tests I did I’m so confused the other 2 were done after I got the positive results (one in the middle) could it be because they weren’t my first morning urine but at same time I’d still expect a really faint line

8 dpo is really early to get a positive, hcg doubles every 48 hours I think so you should see a stronger line in the next couple days if so. I didn’t get a ‘proper’ line on these tests until I was 15dpo. The test in your original post does look positive to me though especially if it appeared within the timeframe

Thankyou so much we will test again in a couple of days… the positive looking one was done on fmu weras the second 2 were done later on in the day so we’re hoping that’s maybe why. I’ve seen horror stories on false positive tests especially the clear blue ones so we’re hoping it’s not otherwise I don’t know what tests to use that we can trust

There is a really faint line on the green one at the bottom of your lineup. And the pic isn’t great so I couldn’t look as closely at your top one. But yeah, 8 dpo is so early you’ll be at a testing threshold, I bet it’ll get stronger over the next few days.

Update today’s test completely negative, I thought I saw a vvvf but only through the torch on my phone so I’m saying it’s negative😢

So sorry, I didn’t read the thread. 🤍

EllieWales · 29/11/2025 19:55

Sorry @Tinytyson that must’ve been disappointing. If it’s helpful most pregnancies don’t show as a positive at 9dpo. I didn’t get a vvvvfl until 12dpo, you’re not out yet x

I can’t understand why the others are completely negative and that one was so positive 🥺 been ttc for 4 years now with our rainbow baby and we really thought it was the time 😭

Aww @Tinytyson that’s really hard, I hope you get your BFP soon and sorry for your loss. I finally had my positive a few weeks back after TTC for a year so I know the disappointing feeling every month. You’re not out yet though keeping everything crossed for you 🤞

aLogLady · 01/12/2025 08:22

@Tinytyson thats really tough. I’ve also waited 4 years (and am currently lucky to be early pregnant with ivf, though nothing guaranteed yet as I’ve been pregnant twice before and no child yet). Have you and your partner had any investigations yet? I’m in my late 30s so we started the process as soon as we could, but it might be worth considering as four years is a long time to not be successful. It could even be something fixable that’s causing the delay. If you have any questions on the subject there are a lot of people on here with a lot of experience in investigations and treatments, so it’s the right place to ask.

So sorry @Tinytyson, that first test was cruel! I second what PP said about treatment options. There’s lots of support out there if you haven’t sought it already.

PurpleDisco · 01/12/2025 21:40

@Tinytysonso sorry for all your losses x. After 3 miscarriages usually tests are suggested. You may have already started investigations. It’s often something simple like low progesterone which is easily fixed by progesterone supplementation during early pregnancy until the placenta takes over.

The good news is you have no problem getting pregnant having had 5 conceptions so fertility specialist’s consider this a very good starting point. It’s about sustaining the pregnancy rather than infertility in your case. You should definitely look into your progesterone levels.
