Planned c section

Hi,
so I’m just trying to get some inputs on how other peoples planned c sections went, I have had 2 sections in the past, my first I had due to placental abruption and sepsis so was an emergency and my second I was already in labour and opted for a section. so I’ve never experience a planned section before actually going into labour.
I guess I’m just wondering if it’s a nicer experience or if I’m just being overly anxious.

Nicer? Well you know it’s going to happen and pretty much when, so no stress there. However I had two planned sections. The first my waters broke ten days before so I had to go in and they operated the next morning - I didn’t have my bag packed and my husband had to cancel his work before he’d planned to. If this had been my second child it would have been a bit complicated to arrange last minute childcare. My second went as planned, but I had injured my back a couple weeks before and could hardly walk. My DD was unwell and spent the first few days in NICU (which was very stressful in itself) and it took me about half an hour to walk the five minutes to see her.
But say all goes as scheduled for you with no added complications. You’ve arranged care for your kids and your partner has organised his work. Your bag is packed. So yes that is much less stressful than an emergency section! Hope it all goes well.

Mine was incredibly relaxed. The anesethetist even offered to take a photo as she arrrived.

it felt like a controlled, well planned delivery with everyone ready to change tact if needed.

My first was an emergency and the second planned, on medical advice. It was calmer the second time.

I loved my planned c section so much! We had our own playlist. It was just beautiful in so many ways x you won't regret it x
