So I went for a NHS growth scan 10 days ago. I saw that the head is measuring 3 weeks ahead but they didn’t bring it up to me as a concern. I mentioned previous scans stating a lot of fluid around baby and again they said yes there is but in range. I went for a 4D scan today 32+4 and she asked if the stomach being big had been mentioned to me…no it hadn’t. She said baby currently weighs approx 5lb 14. I’ve phoned the hospital and they’ve looked again at my results and said everything is in range but a consultant will call me tomorrow. My GD test came back neg.

this pregnancy seems to be one thing after another and after a MMC my head is all over the place. I don’t feel like I can relax and enjoy it at all.

im panicking that something is wrong with baby.

anyone else been in this position?

With my first I had growth scans at 32 and 36 weeks (standard for consultant lead care in my at the time - 'baby' is now a stroppy teen) I was told 6lb at 32 weeks, and 8lb at 36 weeks (I think it's a long time ago now). I then went 2 weeks over due without any showing any sign of worry or desire to get things going from the midwife/hospital. When I went in to finally be induced at 42 weeks I had calculated from the weights I was given at the scans and stats on growth at that stage that I was going to have a 13-14lb baby. I had repacked my hospital bag with bigger baby clothes and braced myself for an awful delivery. He finally arrived via section at 42 +4 weighing a bang average 7.5lb and I had to send home for some new born clothes.
I'm not saying this will be the case for you just that the figures I was given were massively inaccurate.

I’m currently in this position now although only 23 weeks. Under a consultant for something else but it means I have fortnightly scans. Last week they said baby’s AC was above 99 centile. Although it was still 95 at 29 week scan. No idea what this means really in terms of risk. Going for a GD test on Wednesday and another growth scan, but not sure what else there is to do really is GD test is negative
