Natural birth after csection

Has anyone experienced a natural birth after csection?
after a complicated and high risk pregnancy I’ve been told that there’s no reason I couldn’t go natural this time. I’ve said I don’t particularly want to be induced as this led to a very long labour and emergency csection so I’m booked in for 39 weeks.
however midwife said that if I go naturally before this I can still try natural but there is a chance of the scar splitting on my womb which is very dangerous for us both.

id like to hear of anyone’s experiences please?

Admittedly a long time ago (my kids now in their twenties) but I did this and it was fine. DC1 9lbs6, large head, lying back to back, got stuck trying to turn so I had an emergency C section after a long labour. DC2 also back to back but 2 lbs lighter. Labour still quite long, but I felt confident in the consultant's advice and there were no major issues. I recovered much faster so it was a good choice (for me). I went into labour naturally a week early so that made a big difference (DC1 was nearly 2 weeks overdue).
Edited to say 'for me'
