6 weeks to go, so unconfortable, so immobile. How to cope?

I am wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and how you cope?

This is my third pregnancy. I have spd, bad sciatica and just generally feel so immobile. Sleepless nights due to pains down legs. Can't walk much during the day.

I just can't believe I have another 6 weeks of this!

im with you there

ive so had enough now i have spd and pains in left leg when walking and at night in bed is terrible

i have about the same time as you left but having a c-section 2 weeks early

when is your due date?

IlanaK · 08/06/2008 21:12

Due date is 7 weeks tomorow. Csection booked for one week before.

I feel in so much pain and discomfort, but I do wonder if this is the norm for many people. I had a difficult second pregnancy but I think this is way worse.

exactly the same as me you are
except im having my section 2 weeks before
this isnt the worst pregnancy ive had but this one is pretty bad
i had to go to docs saturday my leg was so bad they checked me over thought it may have been a blot clot
butapparantly not its my pelvis softening and seperating causing immense leg pain and pain in the groin
like you its unbearable but what can we do,can i ask why you are having a section?
will they consider early induction? or would you?

IlanaK · 09/06/2008 08:47

This is my third csection so no, neither they nor I want an induction. The recommendations now are not to have sections too early - generally just a week - unless there is good reason as babies can have respiratory problems. I would love to have this baby out NOW, but the risks are too high.

I know what you mean, feel great in the mornings, but come lunch time the sciatica has set in, knees ache, wrists and fingers sore, feet and legs so swollen, shoulders and hips ache terribly in bed!

god knows what I'll be like in 6 weeks time, due 17th July, planning homebirth, first pregnancy.....

disneystar · 09/06/2008 10:33

ilanak the reason they want to do me earlier is i am an insulin diabetic and the baby is growing to big
also my baby has fused skull bones and a vert rare genetic disorder plus going by my other 2 with this condition holes in the heart
they have offered me induction at week 36 i have refused due to fear factor or pushing a baby out with rigid head bones done it before not to be reccomended
this is what they call the joys of pregnancy
im sure in a few weeks we will all be saying
oh it was worth it
we just got to hang on in there ladies
