13 weeks & probably viral infection

Hi. I’m 13 weeks & 4 days today.

my daughter (3.5) is sick since yesterday. I started to feel unwell since this afternoon & now full blown cough. Feel like fever is coming soon too.

My GP is closed for the weekend so wondering what can I take in the meantime? Any suggestions pls?

I never get sick with my daughter. It’s usually my husband. But I guess due to low immunity I got it this time.

Please mention at your next midwife appointment you’ve caught a bit off of your little one. Ask to be tested for CMV and if positive ask them to check your booking bloods for any signs you’ve had it before.

I’m panicking a bit reading about CMV on internet. But appreciate you sharing it, as I had not heard about it before. Will get it checked.

I hadn’t heard of it either until my baby was born with it& it wasn’t my first baby either! It can be so scary but there is such a large scale of the implications of it and a lot of the time it can be mild or not even passed on at all.

Alot of Doctors and midwives hadn’t even heard of it so now I try and spread awareness of it xx
