Hi

I am 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant with an ivf pregnancy. I have a 16 mth old toddler who was conceived through ivf also. Since having her I've had a missed miscarriage and an unsuccessful FET and before we had her I had another miscarriage and unsuccessful round.

My hcg was good on test day and I had some pregnancy type symptoms both before and immediately after test day. It felt exactly like my first pregnancy. However the past 5 days or so, those symptoms have faded (nausea smell sensitivity etc). In the past disappearing symptoms hasn't been a good sign for me so my anxiety is high. I had a repeat hcg done today for peace of mind and its over 3000, with a good doubling rate. My breasts have become sore the past 24hrs but aside from that and tiredness, I feel quite different to.how I did last weekend. No nausea or smell sensitivity.

I'm due a scan at 7 weeks but have booked a scan for next week just in case I decide I want to go. I appreciate the info gleaned will limited. I did have symptoms fade shortly before 6 weeks with my last pregnancy and an early scan helped me.

Guess I am looking for some reassurance from others who have been in this situation

i haven't been in your situation but I got the metallic taste and sore breasts first, then sickness from 7-8 weeks.

I hope all goes well for you.

Not an ivf pregnancy, but my symptoms faded early with my first pregnancy. It was such an rollercoaster. Around 8 to 10 weeks nausea started up, but the nausea ended around week 20. Baby is now at secondary school. Such a stressful time. Good luck, hope it’s a sticky one 🤞🏼

Every pregnancy is different, and symptoms can come and go. I found in my second pregnancy the early symptoms were much less pronounced, perhaps because my body had had the onslaught of hormones before, or just because it was a different pregnancy. Try not to worry - there’s nothing you can do either way at this stage, so reassure yourself as best you can, because pregnancy is just weird and you can’t measure yourself by other people’s experiences or even your own previous ones

@Sunflower3000 @Tumbleweed101 @Zhu Thank you all for your thoughts on this it really helps to hear from others! I had so few symptoms last week, then yesterday I felt awful. All symptoms came flooding back. Definitely milder today thougb. I'm starting to think I'm so busy and focused during the week that my symptoms are just not as obvious or else the stress of day to day life keeps them quashed. I had a bad night sleep Saturday so maybe that triggered the symptoms yesterday.

I had booked a scan for 6 + 1 but cancelled it. I think I can hold on the extra week.....hopefully!!!!
