I have just got a faint line on a test, after multiple losses. We had a MMC at the start of the year and a chemical in May.

I have a consultant who has sent letters to be GP to get progesterone and Xonvea.

i really want this baby to stick im 37 now! Any words of wisdom, old wife’s tales to help?

Oh and does anyone know if progesterone makes HG worse?

Oh and does anyone know if progesterone makes HG worse?

I've had progesterone on my last pregnancy and had ZERO sickness. Currently on it again at 10 weeks pregnant and very little sickness bar 2 weeks so far.

I had 4 losses before these pregnancies.

Ahh thank you this is good to know, have you had HG before and then not had it again? Or have you had any pregnancies not on progesterone and how sick were you?

4 pregnancies with no progesterone, all resulted in losses or a TFMR between 6 and 9 weeks. On one of those (the TFMR) I was sick daily buy wouldn't say it was as bad as HG. The others maybe small bouts of nausea but no sickness.

2 pregnancies (one baby, currently pregnant) I'm on progesterone 400mg twice a day.

I have had 4 pregnancies 3 with hyperemesis, two of which were miscarriages. The 4th I didn't find out I was pregnant until 7 and a half weeks. Tested due to a little nausea, had xonvea prescription as a precaution. I took it for 3 weeks by which point the low level sickness and nausea had passed. I started progesterone which didn't increase the nausea and sickness. I needed another 2 weeks of xonvea around 24 weeks when nausea and sickness return. My pregnancy with my first born my hyperemesis returned in the third trimester so I was wary of this happening again but it didn't

Hi I had HG with my daughter (but not with my sons) so when I found out I was pregnant again I was worried and I needed to take progesterone too because of previous loss. I did have bad sickness but not as bad as with my daughter and this is also a little girl. I'm currently 24 weeks and will be on the progesterone until 34 weeks, no issues with it at all x

Oh and I took xonvea too, it took the edge off but didn't really help much with the sickness in the early weeks to be honest. It improved a lot at 14/15 weeks and now at 24 weeks I'm only taking 2 tablets at night and I'd say it's 80% better than it was now x
