IVF after Recurrent Miscarriages

What is your experience having successful IVF after natural Recurrent Miscarriages?

To give context my partner and I have had a lot of blood work and it comes out normal.

Has anyone then gone on to have successful IVF when the issue isn't necessarily conception?

Yes I had this situation and had immune treatment alongside IVF with success.
Sorry to hear you are experiencing this. I used the ARGC for very thorough treatment.

I had IVF after two miscarriages and wanted to maximise our odds. All my bloods came back fine. 4 out of 5 embryos failed. Had an investigative hysteroscopy to check for endometritis (came out positive) and got placed on three powerful antibiotics. First cycle after procedure (technically the second) I fell pregnant. Am now 23 weeks along with one more frosty waiting.

I had 5 misscarriages and went on to have 6 full cycles of IVF, BFPs in 4 cycles but only one live birth (I miscarried his twin also). No problem conceiving, but after having ‘Chicago Tests’ it became apparent that if there was a disorder, I had it. Factor V Lieden, MTHFR Homozygous gene mutation, extremely elevated NK Cells and elevated ANA. I am extremely fortunate to have been able to self fund our ICSI cycles alongside immune therapy that gave me my boy.

Thank you all three of you for your responses. I think I'll be looking into this for our next steps. Really helpful to know it's worked for you 🙂

Hi - also a positive story here as after 3 miscarriages (2 natural pregnancies and 1 IVF), I finally had my rainbow baby last year after another IVF round. If you are in London, I cannot recommend enough Pr. Lesley Regan who investigated thoroughly my miscarriages. My partner also saw a urologist and had a sperm dna fragmentation test and took some supplements (Impryl) as the results showed that his sperm dna was highly fragmented which could contribute to miscarriages - good thing for men is with a healthy lifestyle (he stopped smoking and drinking, lost a bit of weight and ate well) this can be rectified a lot in only 3 months. I’d recommend looking into this too.

Personally if you haven't already I'd spend the money on a private specialist like Dr Shehata. There are lots of tests and treatments for recurrent miscarriage not available.on the NHS. I know quite a few women who finally carried their babies to term that way.

Thank you both..I haven't yet looked into a fertility clinic but reading your suggestions I will look into it first. Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
