Did anyone else bleed / spot in their 2nd trimester? I am 16 weeks and had a random large spot of blood

Not personally, I’d phone your local maternity triage to get checked over x

I bled all through my pregnancy with my third child. At first it was because of cervical ectropion, which isn't harmful at all, and then from 26 weeks because of partial placental abruption. With the abruption I also had extremely bad pain and contractions.

I'm now 14+4 with my fourth baby and I had bright red bleeding yesterday. I went to get checked but I was told they don't really do anything if under 16 weeks, they listened to the heartbeat and that was it. I would phone EPU/triage and tell them anyway and see what they do.

I had small bloody spotting at 18w due to cervical ectropion but I'd already had it at 11w so knew what it was. I still got it checked at maternity triage and they were happy to check me over. Everything was perfect.

I don’t have personal experience, but it can be really scary to see bleeding in the second trimester. Many women do have light spotting around this time due to cervical changes or mild irritation. Still, it’s always best to contact your doctor so they can check and reassure you.
