9 days late, negative pregnancy test. What is going on?

Going crazy here. I'm usually regular as clockwork about 30 day cycle, have been for years....but now my periods 9 days late and I have a weird metallic taste in mouth and I can smell it, all good signs right?

Nope, I tested at 7 days and 8 days missed period. Nada, nothing, not even a hint of a line. Should I buy another brand of tests, or call up my GP or wait a few more days?

How old are you? Could it be the start of peri? Equally, if you've had the nasty bug that's going round that might have thrown your cycle off.
