Hello everyone,
We’re at the point where we’re starting to consider where we want to access our birthing care. With where we live, Royal Derby hospital and Queens hospital Burton are our closest options.
I plan to look at official statistics but also wondered if anyone has any personal experiences at either hospital which would mean they would recommend (or not!) either of them.
Thank you :)

Depends on whether you have any risk factors. Royal Derby is a large hospital with many specialties. Knowing someone who had to be flown less than six hours after giving birth for emergency specialist care i personally wouldn’t consider a hospital that wasn’t “full service” that said I’m way beyond the point of more dc (mine are in their 20’s).
