Hoping someone’s been through the same, I’m currently 36 weeks and on my growth scans today baby has dropped from 44th percentile to 20th and I also have increased placenta artery pressure index.

Basically I need to get my Doppler for the artery done again next week and if still issues they will induce me the week after at 37 weeks.

Im so worried of all the risks of placenta failing ect.

I’m here with you - can you stay at the maternity unit with a monitor? Xxx

They need to keep monitoring all the flows through the cord, are you still with them or back at home?

Not physically obviously - that sounds so weird

Not the same thing, I had a measurement slow down & emergancy scan on the same day which revealed she had not grown as expected & I also had reduced movements..

if you feel worried or like something isn’t right please fight it. They didn’t want to induce me I begged for it because movements were there but fading & slower. They induced me that day. In my heart I could just feel something wasn’t right & im so glad they listened to me. xxx

Hi all, they sent me home as my trace on the CTG was fine. They are rescanning me next week to decide a plan.

I am so scared, I had a loss last year. She’s so small only 5 pounds 4. None of this is what I was expecting at all.

I am so sorry for your previous loss. I am not surprised you are shocked and scared. With my youngest she stopped growing which was spotted at 36 week check up and she was born early by planned c section (she was so small she was spinning around in there for fun so couldn’t induce me). She weighed 4lb 13 and needed a little extra support for the first week (incubator to help her keep warm and help with feeding). She is now an extremely active (and fierce!) 5 year old.

Thank goodness they have spotted this. All you can do is rest up, monitor movements and if you are at all concerned go and get checked. Sending lots of love, it’s a stressful time but you will get through it.

Thank you that is really helpful, I’ve never had a baby before and I swear everyone I know has had giant babies so the size was really worrying me.

I just hope Friday comes fast now.

I can't help with what you are going through @DogsandDungarees as never experienced same but please know that 5lb is actually perfectly normal for 36 week gestation. They tend to add half a pound a week the last few weeks, and the average girl is 7lb at full term.
