do babies put on half a pound a week?

I had i 4d scan today at 26 weeks baby weighs about 1 lb 15oz if they put on about half a pound a week im going to have a big baby my other 2 only weighed just over 6lb.

thats normally from 35 ish weeks

I thought it was from 32 weeks they gained half a pound a week but you gain one pound a week (or more if you like cake)

Until week 31 they are still growing their organs and ossifying their bones so they don't concentrate on putting on weight - lungs are more important than blubber!

I had a 4d scan think was 27weeks and she was exactly 2lb i was told-so what that mean then, but im like under 5ft and was told she got a small head, hopefully i will not be having a big baby

in the last few weeks they gain half a pound a week but from begining of last trimester u should be gaining 1 to 2lb a week
