Please someone tell me that it gets better... I feel permanatly hungover.

And mother's comments that she actually felt better when pregnant aren't helping.

Snap - for DD1. My Mum was astonished becaus when she was pregnant she felt at her best ever - she would have been pregnant all the time if she could. For what it's worth, it took until 20 weeks for the morning sickness to end during that pregnancy. I think that 20 weeks is another of the "turning points" of pregnancy (if you're still feeling awful after 13/14 weeks).

Thank you! Aware than have another 25 weeks of this, and want my body back already.

Take heart, 15/16 weeks was the turnaround for me too. I felt positively great for the 4th-8th months. It's definitely a myth that it's the first 12 weeks that suck

I agree with the above, I felt like SHITE until around 19 weeks then one day woke up and it was gone, I too then felt sooooo amazing until 30 weeks when I got SPD but would live with this over nausea any day!! I empathise wholly but rest assured, it will pass. Drink plenty of ginger in hot water and most importantly, try taking a supplement called P-5-P, it's a B6 derivative and I've since learned it works wonders for pregnancy nausea ( I don't call it morning sickness as that makes it sound manageable!!) You'll get it from a decent health food shop (ie NOT Holland and Barrett!!)

Hi Fufulina. I'm 15 weeks pregnant too and feel like a sack of cold shit. I had hyperemesis (severe nausea and sickness) up until recently. Now I 'just' feel sick in the mornings, plus am knackered, pasty faced, have broken out in spots, have no energy, all food tastes funny and I have started getting all hormonal and weepy. FFS.

I never really 'bloomed' when pregnant with my son, but it was NEVER this bad (sob). You have my sympathies.

Fufulina · 08/06/2008 16:44

Thanks all - there is hope! It doesn't help that (like most people, I think), I thought morning sickness was what it said on the tin. Lies lies lies. All day sickness and shiteness would be a better description...

I felt wonderful when I was expecting DS. I 'bloomed' as they say and felt better pregnant than I had beforehand. So stupidly I expected to feel wonderful with this pregnancy.
.
I am 13 weeks and feel awful. I haven't had any morning sickness but I have been exhausted, I have loads of spots and feel like I have been hit by a bus most days.

I keep crying at random things, the smell of somethings make me feel really sick.

I hope you feel better soon Fufulina

becaroo · 08/06/2008 21:35
