Pain under bump

Hi! I’m nearly 33 weeks and for the past few days I’ve had quite a sharp pain under my bump, running from one side to the other, which kind of feels like a pulled muscle. I can’t really feel it when I’m sat down, but it’s pretty sore when I’m moving around which makes me think it’s not my uterus stretching as surely that would be happening when im sat down too. At my midwife appt last week she said the baby was head down already so I wonder if it’s head is down low and putting pressure on my muscles? It’s a constant pain (quite sharp but certainly wouldn’t describe it as severe) so don’t think it’s round ligament pain as I had that In second trimester and it came and went.
has anyone else experienced anything similar?

thanks so much xx

Could be anything from round ligament to PGP.
My babys been head down since around 28 weeks but that didnt put much pressure on until i got to around 33 weeks and then it began getting more terrible down below and around my bump.

Pgp can be in your bump, groin and hips, you might be better referring yourself to physio and asking them for tips, tricks and advice to manage the pain if your midwife isnt doing much to help

@LER2023 thanks for your reply! From doing further reading I’m thinking it’s PGP, so I’ve done as you suggested and contacted a physio to see if they can help me. Whatever it is it’s really debilitating - I do a fairly physical job for work and I wasn’t planning on starting mat leave for another few weeks, however I think I’ll have to if I don’t get any better! Thanks again xx

They will recommend a pregnancy belt and ball.
They will give you a tube bandage thing, but even then it wont help getting comfortable because its very tight. I went for the belt and it was a life saver until i started getting later in pregnancy and it instead just suffocated my back and bump lol but for now until you go on mat leave it may be your best bet!
