Period after birth

just wondering when you’d typically expect to start your first full period (not post partum bleeding) after you’ve finished your post partum bleed?

currently 4 week post partum and stopped bleeding was hoping to gage when I could expect to have my first period, based on a regular cycle perhaps? Feels a far fetched question, but any way of working it out?

thank you :)

Are you breastfeeding? It was about 10/11 months for me

Not breastfeeding and was about 10-12 weeks post birth.

I was breastfeeding and it was four months for me.

Breastfeeding will delay the return of your period so it depends whether you’re breastfeeding or not.

Sorry, I didn’t clarify - I’m bottle feeding :)

Google says 5 - 8 weeks. Another site says the average is 42 - 45 days, but there’ll be a lot of variation around this.
