Hi there,

I had an emergency c section with my first (13 years ago)
so I have the option of planned section or natural for this birth. I’m due in feb so still little time to decide.

i know some friends, friends of friends and colleagues who have had a section with their first and -
went to have a natural birth for their 2nd and I’ve heard a mix of bad and good stories.

-and then the same I know of others who chose c section for their second and I’ve only heard good things.

makes me want to lean more to planned section but I’m so unsure, I don’t like having this choice. I dont want to pick wrong. It also worry’s me if I do pick for a natural birth and end up like my last in a long labour and then ending up with an emergency section, I think i would feel disappointed in myself.

If anyone would like to share some positive stories of either choice after an emergency section first time round what you did for your next birthing experience? would be lovely to hear some positive things.

Thank you in advance to anyone who reads all this x

I had an emcs first time and a VBAC second time. I did have an elcs booked and went. Into labour early. It felt different to first time so I decided to not have the elcs. They did check quite a few times to make sure I was sure I didn’t want the cs.
Labour was 12 hours, a lot shorter than first time. Had to have a episiotomy but it healed fine. Recovery was easier
