Soft spot early closure

Saw a paediatrician today for little girl, the gp checked everything and said shes nice and healthy however shes noticed her soft spot feels closed, little girl is 10 months old and reaching all milestones and still within her centiles. Shes had an xray today but wont get the results for 2 weeks anyone had similar? Thanks for the replies :)

She's had the Xray done, if anything urgent is visible they’ll contact you.

Hi OP, I work in radiology. You mentioned she’s meeting all her milestones etc and no concern of her weight/centiles. This is all good information. They usually only flag concerns if the early closing is accompanied by other symptoms like an abnormal head shape or a hard ridge on the skull. Does she have a ‘normal’ shaped head? Very good they got her in for an xray soon, hopefully you get the results soon :)

Hi thank you for replying all normal headshape, thats what ive read online about meeting milestones etc, the gp made it sound like if it is closed now she would need an operation no matter if shes meeting them or not.
