Antenatal lonliness

But quite lonely

It’s not unusual. You are used to being at work with people. I remember being very sad on my birthday when it was the first one I hadn’t celebrated by going out to lunch with colleagues. Do you have local friends and family?

If you can I would recommend signing up for some antenatal classes (ideally in person, but online if physically difficult). Could be anything from fitness classes to straight forward antenatal education. You may also be at risk of postnatal depression, so might be an idea to preempt and find a specialist to talk to, even if it's just one session to see how you go. And maybe find a whatsapp/facebook group of pregnant ladies due around the same time. Plenty of threads here to help. A friend also used Peanut to find people.
