21 weeks pregnant..

Baby is ok - saw her at a scan @ wkend..

I dont feel her every day yet..

My bmi was 29 before ivf -
Is that maybe why ?

Some people say not regular movements til 24 w ?

Its the first time a pregnancy has got this far

Hi, OP xx

First of all, massive congratulations! ❤

I'm also 21 weeks along as of today. I was told by my midwife that an established pattern of movement won't materialise at least until 24 weeks if the placenta is at the front (anterior) which mine is. I can't say much in regards to BMI because I don't really know how that works in terms of feeling baby.

If the placenta is at the back (posterior) then I've heard the belly can feel like a washing machine on spin cycle from as early as 14 weeks.

Every pregnancy and every woman is different, so as easy as it to say, try not to worry. And if something is really playing on your mind, get in touch with your midwife as they can reassure you.

It's so true that every pregnancy is different. I'm nearly 22 weeks and my baby never stops moving but my pregnancy with my daughter, I barely felt her move until much later on. I had to get one of those dopplers just for reassurance as she was so quiet. The good news is she was the same when she arrived - so chilled!! I have a feeling this baby won't be 😩😂
