Hi, i am currently on my third round of treatment for thrush and i am only 13 weeks pregnant. Has anyone heard of thrush causing preterm labour? I can’t seem to get rid of it and it is definitely symptomatic so im worried about this and i will definitely be telling my midwife at my 16 week appointment. But can someone share their experiences or knowledge here first please.

Have you had your blood sugar checked? I am diabetic and had it nonstop when pregnant because of my blood sugars. Have you been given the oral treatment for it? I had oral pill frequently and also clotromazile cream (is an antifungal cream) you can get over the counter (at least in the US) worked amazingly well, way better than the suppositories and creams specifically for thrush I would get in the UK and US.

I have had my blood sugar checked about a year ago so not during pregnancy so i will be sure to ask and i was told the oral pills can be dangerous so i have used 3 weeks worth of 500mg clotrimazole pessaries but they cause so much pain themselves and i have been using the external cream everyday since about 4 weeks, i will ask my midwife at 16 week appointment to check my blood sugar thank you

I had thrush about 5 times in my first pregnancy and he was born at 38+3.

Never had it in my second (born at 38+4) or third (born at 31+1) pregnancies x

I've had thrush basically every day this pregnancy since about 5 weeks, trying to maintain the symptoms with creams as the cause is clearly hormonal with pregnancy , I'm now over 39 weeks and have no signs of labour!
Edited to add that I've had blood and urine sugars checked monthly as a routine thing and my results are all normal, also used pessaries but it just comes back within days, hence clearly just hormonal
