I am pregnant with baby no 8

5 normal vaginal births and two c sections , both emergency one for breech and premature baby and the next due to placenta previa.

All healthy babies and good recoveries.

I have been advised by NHS to terminate this pregnancy (This is not what I want to do at all).

They say it is possible to keep the pregnancies but with HUGE risks associated with that choice and extremely close monitoring.

I am just wondering if anyone else has had this and what choice they made and how it all worked out.

If your last pregnancy was a C-section due to placenta previa you are at risk or that happening earlier this time or placenta accreta etc, so it depends really on how that went for you and the baby and the level of risk you’re comfortable with. My baby was born early due to placenta previa and we were very lucky to both get out unscathed, I would never risk another pregnancy that might risk an even earlier birth and the damage that might inflict on a baby, whereas someone who had a scheduled section at 38 weeks due to previa and no issues or bleeds would see it differently.

What is the reason you're being advised to terminate? What are you at risk of happening?

I very much doubt the NHS would suggest that unless they were seriously concerned about either yours or the baby's likelihood of getting through the birth safely.

I had a c section scar pregnancy back in December 2023 was found at 5 weeks. I was also told all the risks and that it was best to not carry on with the pregnancy. With the risks and how scared I was, I wouldn’t have been able to carry on with the pregnancy. But the heartbeat stopped so I didn’t have too make the choice.
I had laparoscopic surgery with scar repair at 9 weeks pregnant. And then had to wait a year till I try again.
I’m now 36 weeks pregnant with a baby girl in correct placement, having a c section in 11 days.
There is a facebook group for scar ectopic pregnancy which is really really helpful! Many women who have carried there c section pregnancy/lost/terminated.
