Hi everyone so I used clear blue ovulation test two weeks ago, got my smiley face and dtd next day. Today I started bleeding and tested myself and got negative. What did I miss? Feels so sad. Can ovulation test be wrong?? This is the first time using the test, if I got my smiley on the day which was like 5pm and doing dtd next morning wasn't enough then what could be the reason? The day before I also tested and it was a blank circle unless I got my smiley that evening I got my blank circle??

Doesn't sound like you missed anything, you just didn't get pregnant that cycle. That's normal. Schools tell you that if you look at a boy you'll get pregnant - for many women it's much much harder!

if you have sex at the right time then you have about 25% chance of getting pregnant (assuming no fertility issues)

just try again next month!

Because unfortunately it doesn’t always just take one time….

Even if you did right on ovulation there’s only a small chance you’ll get pregnant that cycle. Up to a year trying is completely normal.

This.

Even if you do everything perfectly right, perfect timing, two perfectly healthy & compatible people, you still only actually have a 20-25% chance each cycle. You haven’t missed anything, you haven’t done anything wrong, TTC is unfortunately largely a game of chance & luck as much as anything else.

Aim to have sex a bit more often before and during ovulation next cycle
