How did you feel in the days running up to labour?

I’m booked in for a section next week but keep looking for any signs I’m going to go before then! Aside from the obvious things like waters going, cramping, sore back, mucus plug etc - how did you feel the few days before you went into labour?

I’ve been quite good keeping up with tasks and things around the house (also finished work this week) but I’ve hit abit of a wall last 2 days and just exhausted. I’m 39w tomorrow. worth also saying I’ve not been sleeping well for weeks so could just be that catching up!

This week I have had a few cramping niggles and one evening of discomfort all around bump but think it was baby’s head on a nerve! Increased CM but no mucus plug xx

Dc1 was cramping a little here and there two weeks before going into labour, and then a day of going huh am I going into labour? Having odd cramps throughout the day. Wasn't until they actually became proper period cramps and waters going did I think it was labour.
2nd, absolutely nothing then one night just before I sat down for dinner the cramps started in full force. Waters didn't go until the push before she arrived
3rd (also 39w tomorrow) so far absolutely nothing, just the usual full stretching feeling because there isn't much space anymore! And the occasional sciatic nerve pain when that little head is sat on something. Tiredness but like you, probably because I sleep like poop and I'm still busy as heck during the day and also borderline getting ill (thanks older kids)
Fully anticipating something similar to the 2nd and preparing for not much warning!

DD1 felt completely normal, no signs at all (obviously tired and achey but who isn’t at 40 weeks)
DD2 had cramps on and off for about a week, just 2-3 at a time then stopping again. Then cramping off and on for the whole day before actually going in to labour

Both times I had a day of manic nesting activity like tidying sorting but also v cranky with everyone near me!! Both times it was the massive hormone surge that kicked off labour. Good luck :)

First baby, no signs, just regular contractions started in the middle of the night and didn't stop until baby was born 2 and a half days later.

2nd baby, had a sweep and sent me into early labour, I had contractions in the evenings that would be gone overnight, then I had a second sweep 2 days later and this sent me into proper labour.
