Hi ladies, I’m a department manager in a really small team. I’m struggling so much with exhaustion even though it’s an office job, but also just suddenly not caring. I’m 15 weeks by the way. Even though my commute is just a 25 minute train and then a 10 minute walk, I feel absolutely shattered by the time I get to my desk. I haven’t told Work yet so I’m just wondering if anyone else went through this and what did you do? It’s not like I’m operating heavy machinery or working with chemicals. It’s just meetings and desk work and thinking work. And also I just feel better. I just cannot believe I’ve got to wait until April to carry on!! (PS my iron levels are low to normal but not worrying)

Wait till you hit that 3rd trimester 😂 I find the tiredness unbearable in the 3rd. Coffee got me through 1st trimester, hopefully with you being 15 weeks you should hopefully get some more energy soon! If you’re iron is low that won’t be helping see if anything you can take

In my first trimester I was throwing up 4+ times a day and feeling constantly nauseous. I told my manager about the pregnancy at 11 weeks and it really took a weight off my shoulders not having to pretend everything was normal. I am wondering why you haven't told work yet, since you are past your 12 week scan? They might be able to make some accommodations so that you are more comfortable - is there anything that you feel would help you? Do you have the ability to work from home some days since it's a desk based job? My manager was fine with me WFH and taking an afternoon nap if I needed to. Hope you get some energy back soon in second trimester!

Not great, I'm very tired now but nearly 32 weeks!
I have 4 more official working weeks left now as I've booked annual leave for the last month, so just counting down. Fingers crossed for the rest of your pregnancy, wish I could say it gets easier. 😂
