I’m booked in for an early 10 week scan with the NHS.. will it be transvaginal or external???

I had an external at EPU at 9 weeks but they had seen a heartbeat at a 6 week scan so not sure if that impacted things as previously I’d had concerning 6w scans (measuring at least a week behind) then internal at 8-9w possibly as bad news was expected.

Don’t know if that’s particularly helpful to you 😅 I’d expect abdominal with a chance they could switch to internal if needed.

They may do abdominal, but if they struggle they will switch to transvaginal.
It doesnt do any harm to have either, nor does it hurt having the transvaginal, you get a clearer picture!
