Congratulations on your pregnancy OP, what is your question?

I’m now 38 weeks, high risk pregnancy & consultant led- not due to previous TFMR though. Happy to answer any questions if I know the answer!

Thank you so much! Congratulations to you❤️ I’m just wanting to know how much different my pregnancy ‘plan’ will be…. I don’t know how to say I want consultant led care/more tests and scans. I was only 15w3d when I had a TFMR

if it’s the same as my area you will be consultant led. You will be offered nipt at 10 weeks and then in my area consultant appt about 13 weeks. Regardless of nipt outcome you will stay consultant led. You can discuss with co sultans what you feel you need extra to manage anxiety etc.

Not a TFMR but my 4th baby had problems picked up at the 20 week scan. Not for T21 but I was offered a TFMR but declined. I wasn't offered anything extra with my 5th baby, although i did ask the lady who did my 20 week scan if she could check for the problems my 4th son had first and tell me if this baby had the same issues or not before checking everything else, which she did.

@elliejjtinyi think t21 (and possibly also Edward’s and pataus) is a different pathway in future pregnancies compared to other diagnoses. I have heard of others who didn’t get anything extra in future pregnancies but for t21 you definitely do. Op I should have said in my first post - you will still be offered combined testing even if you choose to do nipt - and it’s the only way to check papp-a levels so it was advised for me. Also - (again don’t know if this is specific to my area) I could have chosen to gone straight to cvs/ amnio because of previous baby with t21.

I did have the CVS done with that pregnancy but it was also found not genetic so I will probably just have the NIPT/scans done

hoping I won’t need the CVS but if I have too I have too x

@Lea687yes I made the same decision - cvs didn’t feel worth the miscarriage risk this time round in the absence of any other concerns.

My midwife today has booked an early scan next Wednesday for me & they have offered the NIPT screening at that appointment if I’m measuring 10 weeks, if not they will just rearrange it for another day xx
