I was contacted at about 8 weeks and had an appointment at just before 10 weeks x I’m sure they say the first appt to be between 8-11 weeks

Thank you for replying, I didn’t know if it was different for everyone regarding where we all come from. I just want to have that app, get my scan. Say it’s really happening🙏🏼❤️

It was all self-referral when I had my babies.
I made the initial contact when I found out I was pregnant, and then had my booking appointments when I was between 8 and 10 weeks, based off the date of my last period.

In the meantime, all the information you need at this early stage is available on the NHS website - folic acid, foods/medications etc to avoid

I completely understand the want to get the appt through!! You could always call the community midwives to make sure they have your referral if you’re feeling a bit anxious about when it’ll be x

Here, not Uk, when the 3 first months have passed, via your GP.

Don't think much has changed..

Just out of curiosity, did you get a letter or phone call?

I think it’s just the overwhelming news from my test and wanting to see it for real now.. the waiting in my head is unbearable but I can cope with the wait. xx

I got both - a phone call to make the appointment and then a letter and a text to confirm it

If you’re this anxious you can go for an early private scan for about £80

SIL had hers a few weeks ago when she was 10 weeks.

I have had a look around, 49.99 is the cheapest. But like I’ve said above I think I’m just impatiently waiting 🥰

I agree, just get a private scan if you want to see something sooner 👍
