Has anyone experienced this? Can anyone share their experiences/thoughts please? Been referred to the hospital but waiting to hear from them. As you can imagine we are distraught and expecting the worst.

My first pregnancy had a weird head shape but she is 27 and has a family of her own now. Sending good wishes.

Holly171994 · 27/10/2025 09:33

@JoemarIerseyes did they pick up on it and say there was potentially something wrong?

Have you been referred to maternal fetal medicine? If so you shouldn’t have to wait too long.

Holly171994 · 27/10/2025 23:15

@bluepears96 we did on Saturday but still waiting to hear from them.

Hi, it could be craniosynostosis. My baby was born with it. It was picked up on a single scan only, but they didn't have a clue, so was dismissed. He had a major op to correct his skull as a baby. He is 9 now and you would never know. Hope you find out soon, it's awful waiting xx

Tralalalama · 28/10/2025 21:30

Praying for you OP that it turns out okay x

My daughter has a syndromic craniosynostosis, and we were told it is hardly ever picked up on scans. Her scan pictures don't look any different to her brother's. I'm not saying it isn't cranio though, I am no expert. Hope fetal medicine are in touch soon OP x

Not good news I’m afraid. Baby sadly has acrania so will be terminating next week.

Oh I am so sorry to read this, I'm not religious, but my prayers are for you

I'm so sorry to hear this, I had a tfmr over 16 years ago due to anencephaly. I found out I can't absorb folic acid so have been on 5mg ever since. I had two children after that pregnancy and both were absolutely fine.

GingerPaste · 31/10/2025 22:51

I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending best wishes xx

So sorry for your loss. I know nothing will help at the moment but I hope the fact that lots of strangers are praying for you and wishing you well will be of comfort in some tiny way.
