Echogenic bowel?

Hi everyone! After previous pregnancy losses, I went for a private scan yesterday at 16 weeks to reassure me and left feeling great! Saw baby’s heartbeat, and was reassured measurements looked good etc. However, I ran into a work colleague later in the day and made the mistake of showing her my scan pics. She mentioned that the baby’s bowel looked brighter than expected on the scans and that it could be echogenic bowel, which her son had had too. I (of course) immediately googled echogenic bowel and have worried myself, with another 4 weeks to wait until my 20 week anomaly scan. Feeling annoyed at myself for taking her comments to heart, particularly as neither she nor I have any training in interpreting ultrasounds! My rational head says that I should just try to forget about this until my 20 week scan, but I wondered if anyone here had any experience interpreting ultrasounds and might be able to offer any advice? Thanks in advance! P.s. any guesses on gender would also be gratefully received :)

I would trust that the sonographer would have told you if they thought there was an issue. One photo is a tiny snapshot of what the sonographer will have seen during the ultrasound.

It's also worth remembering that even if it is echogenic bowel, in 90% of cases it turns out to be a variation of normal (AKA nothing to worry about).
