anyone had a hernia while pg?

asking for a friend, she found this lump in her groin and md says its a hernia, she as to wait to see gp,

if anyones knows anything please tell as shes panicing

At 18 weeks pregnant with DS1 I started to experience pain in my groin, every one kept telling me it was Braxton Hicks contractions.
In a very short period of time, like a couple of days, the pain was so bad I knew I had to go to hospital and by this stage a lump was apparent. They diagnosed a hernia and said it had to be removed immediately as it could jeapordise the pregnancy.
The very next day I was in theatre but on coming round I was informed that it turned out to be not a hernia but a fibroid. I was very shocked as I had never had an issure with fibroids or even knew I had them. I was stiched up without the fibroid being touched it would of been dangerous to do anything as its blood supply comes directly from the womb.
Within a day or two the pain subsided and that was the end of it, which would of been the case anyhow, they grow and just as quickly die by themselves apparently.
The rest of the pregnancy was problem free as was my next one and so far, so good on my 3rd.
