Hi,
39+4 weeks pregnant with my second, lost my mucus plug last night and felt really rough (nausea and diarrhea) and lots of stabbing period pains but no contractions at all- then woke up to wiping fresh blood at 2am after going for a wee. So naturally went to get checked out as I was panicking! They monitored baby and did a speculum and found nothing, said I don't even look like I'm in labour or close either and were quite rude and dismissive really! Then went for a wee before leaving the hospital and had more blood so went back and showed them- they said it'll just be irritation from the speculum. I'm really sore today and haven't had anymore pains really just a bit more blood but everything's settled.
Anyone had anything similar? I'm so tired and my body is so achy and sore I really thought I'd be in labour by now! Confused to say the least!

If you are worried definitely go back and check, throughout my pregnancy i had consistent little bleeds and every time i rang they told me to come in and get checked, if you don't feel something is right keep going in and calling. It could be something as little as thrush but you’re definitely right in going to get checked dont let there dismissive tone put you off!! It should be different nurses on shift now as well :)
