I will preface this by saying I went for my 12 week scan yesterday and all was well (measured between 12w 6 days annd 13 weeks 0 days) and went to EPU this morning and heartbeat seen.
For around 2-3 days I have been experiencing brown bleeding varying from just being present when I wipe, to today drips into the toilet bowl, dark brown clots etc. Despite the scan being fine yesterday, due to the increase in the amount of blood being lost and mild period like pain, I went to EPU.
Had a cervical exam in which Dr. agreed that the amount of blood being lost was “more than she would like” so sent me for a scan. Scan was completed and heartbeat was normal. I asked whether they could see any specific reason for the bleeding but they didn’t have an answer.
Just wondering whether anyone has had any experience of this and whether any reason was given?
Obviously I am happy that things look fine, but it is still worrying to see with no explanation.
I also asked at what point I should contact them again to be checked if it continues but the answer was quite vague and was just told to contact if I was concerned as they would rather try and reassure me than me worry on my own.
Not had this with any of my other pregnancies so grateful for any advice!
