I’ve lost all dignity and need help. A pile the size of a grape appeared yesterday and I am in AGONY. Barely slept, waddling around the house and as of tomorrow will have young dc on half term to look after. I had this last pregnancy but don’t remember it being this incapacitating.

Added to gestational diabetes for the last 13 weeks, I feel miserable.

Any fast acting solutions? If I can waddle to the door and force myself to drive to boots later I will stock up on cream and paracetamol.

Get to the GP! I had them the size of Australia when I was pregnant and they gave me prescription cream which worked a treat. You know its bad when the GP takes a look, gasps and says "oh they are rather large aren't they?"

Over the counter stuff doesnt work that well. Get the good stuff from the GP.

Ah is it a GP job? Thank you. Just done an e consult and hoping they won’t need to examine me….

They may do just to confirm they are indeed piles! Hope you get some relief soon!

GP refused to give me anything stronger than over the counter for mine as I was so close to my due date, she didn't want anything down in the action zone 😓and genuinely the worst part of my labour was when the midwife hit my piles with the mirror she was using to watch things in the pool. Thought I was going to die.

Anyway so no advice but solidarity, and I was sitting on a donut cushion long before baby ever emerged as it was too bloody painful to do anything else.

I’m 5 weeks off my c section date. Don’t feel like I can do this for 5 days let alone 5 weeks. Ah the things we go through to become parents!

Ouch! The mirror thing made me wince just thinking about it! 😬

In case anyone is interested…I waddled to the car/ boots and stocked up on cream. GP also called back and has sent a prescription for better cream to the pharmacy. Fingers crossed it helps!
