Sweep yesterday, mucus loss today?

Is this my mucus plug or some of it at least?
I was 1cm dilated at my sweep yesterday. I'm 40 weeks... Had a sweep cos I am suffering with really bad PGP, can't sleep and just want her out so I can not be in pain anymore!

Anywho,
Had my sweep 10am yesterday and had constant period cramps that are mild, and lower back pain. Not in a pattern, and not regular.
Lost this bit of mucus plug around 25 hours after sweep.

I really hope I can go naturally as I'm wanting a successful VBAC x

Really hope so! I'm getting sharp pains on the top of my bump now...
Just hope that everything's moving along nicely. I don't mind when I go into labor, but I just want things to be progressing at least😂xx

I didnt manage to get to full labour without epidural as had this for having waters broken, however I had a sweep whilst in for induction. After this sweep I had the same as what you have shown, I then started to get contractions - i think these were the earliest ones you could possible get-- they were so painful to me but the midwifes said I had a while to go for the real ones to start - but the next day was ready to have my waters broke. Anyway what I mean is when they said a while was like 1 or two days .. so hopefully this means the same for you! FTM here so cant advise much but wishing you the best and hope its soon xxx

After my sweep it took me 2 days to go into labour, started like this with irregular contractions.
It will probably pick up really soon just be patient. 😊

Thank you for that. I was induced with my first which went fine but she turned when I got to 10cm so I had to be taken for an emergency c section 🙃
This was my first sweep though as didn't have a sweep with my first so didn't really know what to expect!! Xx

Ooo interesting! I keep having period pain, and then when the period pain stops my back starts hurting??? It's like alternating ! Really weird.
Not painful just feel like I'm starting my period. No more mucus plug though xx

Still period painy and backache but not regular enough to time, more constant? . Had another sweep this morning, full effaced now and cervix has come down a lot. However no more dilation :( feeling disheartened, induction Monday and no more sweeps now, I really hope that me being effaced means I start dilating more now xx

Hey! I had my little girl last week via emergency c section. Unfortunately VBAC would've never been possible as they found out my uterus has fused itself to my old c section scar tissue. It had twisted and warped as it's grown this baby.
My body was trying to go into labour for a week after this post but couldn't because my uterus couldn't contract due to it being fused, then baby got distressed and did a poop inside me, they took me for a c section because induction wouldn't work... Which is where they saw how bad my uterus was and told me VBAC wouldve been impossible, I almost had to have a hysterectomy on the table because they couldn't safely get through the scar tissue into my uterus to get baby out. However, she found a small window and safely got baby out. I have some follow up appointments but I've been advised to think about hysterectomy or just not having more kids as it's completely mangled inside me. Which sucks because I'm only 27 and would've liked one more to complete our family.
But hey ho, we are safe and I'm recovering okay , baby was monitored for a day due to pooping inside but she's absolutely fine and perfect.
It could've ended so badly as we didn't know the state of my uterus until during my c section, so lord knows what would've happened if she hadn't pooped inside me or if they did decide to pop my waters!! Xx

That's lovely news about your baby girl, massive congratulations, but sorry it did not go as you'd hoped , but as long as you are both well that's all that matters. Please take care of yourself and enjoy your bundle xx
