Can anyone recommend books for a 5 year old who is going to be a big sister?
my LO is excited but she’s said a couple of times about she’s worried that when baby comes she’s going to be forgotten 😢

There are so many books on google if you search 'new sibling books'
However theres a reddit forum for new sibling books where people have bought and read these books and loved them.

It might help to have a look through these suggestions. You can buy more personalised books though if you wanted to add one, but you can sit your daughter down and tell her that she will be able to help so much with baby, make it sound exciting for her, such as wow you will be able to be with mummy when baby is being fed, or when baby is upset you can help mummy by being the best big sister! Encouraging children to help with your newborn will show that they wont be left out during that difficult time. Bring up from time to time as a reminder about how important a big sister is and how she will help mummy when baby is here, reminding her that baby will be coming.

I used to work in a nursery and we had so many children who had new siblings and felt scared about them, when they would come and talk about baby before theyre even born, we would encourage them that its a good thing, they will have a friend to play with at home alongside of mummy and daddy and how much they will help mummy and daddy with baby. It gave the child a little more confidence in themselves with babies.
She will get used to it, its quite a bit change for a 5 year old. Its not just you, her and daddy anymore! She'll be a great big sister😁
