Chance of Preterm Singleton After Preterm Twins?

Hi!

I've been Googling, but there is no certain answer as I expected.
I gave birth to twins in 2022 at 23+6 (SVD) after a natural conception and am now 10 weeks pregnant. I am assuming this one is a single, but have not had any scans yet to confirm!

Please can anyone share their experiences of having a singleton pregnancy after a preterm multiple? Was your singleton pregnancy preterm, too?

I am quite nervous to go into preterm labour again as we lost 1 twin in NICU on day 2 and stayed with the other for 4.5 months. (She is now a wonderful, healthy 3.5 year old) I would obviously do this again in a heartbeat, but am wondering about my chances of early labour again.

Any replies would be most welcome and thanks so much in advance.

No direct experience but my nan had my dad at 28 weeks and the following 4 children at term.

I imagine it would come down to the cause and reasons for the early labour with your twins, there's a premature board too, it might be worth asking there as well.

I'm sorry for your loss, my sister is a butterfly twin, my mum had a second trimester miscarriage for the other baby. She gave birth to her after my sister was born. She's always spoken about the conflict of emotions of that time joy of getting to bring her baby home but grief of leaving one behind. Be kind with yourself pregnancy brings so many emotions back to the surface.
