High bmi during pregnancy

I currently weigh 100kg at 22 weeks pregnant! I would like to ask if anyone here with higher bmi had any complications during labour or pregnancy and if their baby is healthy! It worried me slightly as they said I can cause bleeding during labour and not deliver much nutrients to baby through placenta.

Very high BMI in both my pregnancies and other than gestational diabetes which I am predisposed to anyway due to a pre-existing condition both my pregnancies were perfectly healthy. I did have emergency sections for both but for different reasons both times so unlikely to be related to my BMI.

Try not to worry just eat healthily and exercise as normally as possible.

I put on so much weight when I was pregnant. With my first I weighed 63kg at 8 weeks. By full term I was 88. With second and I started out at 69ish and got to 95 (2nd) and 100 (3rd). All babies were healthy though with 3rd he was very overdue and I was induced at 42 weeks +2 days. Took ages to get going. During labour baby passed meconium and the emergency button was pressed for a doctor but all was well in the end.
Took ages to lose weight and I have struggled with weight ever since.

Well you know the risks, and there's plenty of evidence that it's more risky for you and your baby if you have a high BMI. However, the majority of women and children will be fine when the mum has high BMI. Just slightly more won't be compared to a group with lower BMI. Eat less, eat better and move more. You've still got time if you want to do something about it.

Don't worry, you're highly likely to have a normal, healthy baby! Have they offered you extra growth scans and a GTT?

I have a high BMI and baby is measuring nice and normal, no worries at all. I'm planning a natural birth.

I have a high bmi and have with all of my pregnancies, i have 3 healthy children. They were all born naturally with no complications during pregnancy.
I understand that they have to warn you of the dangers of being overweight in pregnancy but the majority of women are fine and go on to have normal pregnancy.
