The dreaded “coffee grounds” spotting

I’m 7 wks pregnant (IVF) and have some very intermittent spotting (brown) but sometimes see a few very small grains (like that dreaded coffee grounds = miscarriage googly search). It’s usually the mornibg after I had some slight brownish tinges discharge. I’m also on Cyclogest pessaries. Does anyone have any experience of this NOT being what google says it is? x

I'm an IVF Mum too and I had spotting on and off for about 8/9 weeks and I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant. What has your clinic said, have they asked you in for a scan?

I had this on all of my IUI/IVF cycles, and on my last IVF round until 13 weeks -that’s when I stopped the progesterone - and carried full term my LO. Since then I had a surprise natural pregnancy (again carried full term) and didn’t have any spotting, or coffee grounds, so I firmly believe it was from the progesterone pessaries.

Do you have any pain? For me the lower back pain was the indicator of the miscarriages. When is your next scan?
I know its easier said than done but please try to relax as much as you can, I know how hard this time is! Biscuit
