Bleeding

Hi, I’ve been for a scan today which said everything was fine and could see the heart beat flickering and since being home I’ve started bleeding and got mild cramps. I’ve rang the early pregnancy unit and they said they can’t scan me for another week. Has this ever happened to anyone? I’m so gutted, gone from being the happiest to feeling so upset.

How far along are you? What colour is the blood?

I had bleeding with one of my 3 pregnancies. 5 year old twins perfectly healthy. One of my friends bled throughout her 3rd pregnancy. It might be nothing. Unfortunately only time will tell.

Hope all ends up OK. Fingers crossed it is nothing.

My experience was exactly as TinyTeachr said. I had scary bleeding for two weeks with DD, and she stuck around and was born full term. If you want reassurance of what's happening either way, booking a scan may help. I send all the hugs xx

how many weeks are you?
I had a scan yesterday at EPU, confirmed 7 weeks and saw a heartbeat but after, started bleeding when there after going to empty my bladder. They’ve told me to keep an eye on it

I’m 6 weeks and 1 day, the blood was bright red but really only there when I wiped. It’s crazy how I seen the heartbeat fluttering away and then 3 hours later I’m bleeding. X

This sounds exactly like me! Only there when wiping and not any other time. They say don’t get stressed but it’s so stressful!

The exact thing happened to me on Tuesday.

Did you have a trans-vaginal ultrasound?

I had one cause it turns out my app was wrong and I’m not seven weeks. A few hours after I got home I went to the loo and there was bright red blood.
After a panic call to the hospital apparently it’s really normal to bleed after a trans-vaginal ultrasound when pregnant it’s something about setting off the pool of blood that is currently sitting up there. Unless you are filling a maternity pad within the hour and the cramping is intense. It will stop soon.
its been a few days and my cramping and bleeding has stopped.🙂
