Swollen left calf - not a clot or preeclampsia

So I'm 28 weeks pregnant, and a week or two ago I noticed my left calf was swollen up. I got put on blood thinning injections until they could book me in for a scan, eventually have the scan – no blood clot.
I saw a midwife yesterday because I was having pain on the right side under my ribs, and have been feeling headachey and a bit nauseous, plus my calf is still swelling up (mostly towards the end of the day). She checked urine, blood pressure etc, and was able to rule out preeclampsia. Said the veins are v visible in that calf and she can see it's swollen, might just be that I have bad circulation in that leg.

This morning I feel rotten. Shivery, sick, headachey. My left calf seems swollen again, the veins are v visible, and it feels warmer than my other leg. Not super hot, and no redness though.

Has anyone been through similar? I feel like I've been seen by the right people, ruled out the right things. I just don't know why I feel so crap. Perhaps I'm just getting ill and the calf swelling is unrelated! Looking for reassurance, if anyone has any! I didn't have any of this in my first pregnancy.

Thank you.

Not personal experience but a friend of mine got cellulitis in her leg very randomly in 3rd trimester, I think it was treated with antibiotics and cleared up with no issues. There wasn't a clear reason why she got it like an obvious injury or wound. Good luck

Thanks yeah that had crossed my mind, I had thought cellulitis showed as red patches so was hoping it wasn’t that… will keep an eye though.

I’d urge you to go to maternity triage or A&E - it might be a clot that was too small to show up on the scan but has grown but one calf swollen, feeling ill and pregnant is not a wait and see situation. Wishing you well and hope you can get it sorted soon.
