Vulva ulcers!!!

Hi mums I’m almost 35 weeks pregnant and seem to have sores on one side of my vulva which are incredibly painful. I’ve been given some anti virals but can anyone recommend any creams to use the burn??

Hi I’d advise maybe a lidocaine based gel.the gp could prescribe a topical lidocaine like instillagel or I think vagisil has it also. But just check with the pharmacist, if your ulcers are open wounds I’d be careful.

Is this something you’ve had before? Could it be herpes? Did the GP swab the ulcers? Do you/partner get cold sores? Make sure you discuss this with your midwife as really important for them to know if you start labour with active infection.

No nothing I’ve ever had before but yesterday at the hospital they swabbed and took tests for everything and gave me the antivirals which I’m hoping will kick in as soon as possible but the pain is just so uncomfortable and they didn’t give me any creams
